ASHLAND CITY, Tenn. (WSMV) – Nashville Electric Service (NES) customers are still checking their mail to find electric bills that are much higher than they expected after going without power for days during last month’s ice storm.
Cheatham County resident Tonya Vansel said she was without power for a third of the 30-day period she just got a bill for, but her total for this month was still more than last.
“I can prove I didn’t have power,” she said. “Why am I paying an extra amount for something I didn’t have?”…
