Police in the Bronx are looking for a woman who allegedly walked up and punched a 25-year-old woman in the face during the late afternoon rush on Tuesday in front of 14 West 170 Street, then took off running.
The NYPD says the attack happened at about 4:52 p.m. The victim was struck with a closed fist and the assailant fled on foot. So far, authorities have not announced any arrests.
Wanted Alert From Crime Stoppers
The wanted alert went out on X from NYPD Crime Stoppers, which states that the unidentified woman punched the victim with a closed fist before fleeing the scene. The post lists the location as “in front of 14 West 170 Street” and urges anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information to contact investigators.

The assault took place at 14 West 170 Street, inside the boundaries of the NYPD’s 44th Precinct. That precinct covers the Concourse area and is headquartered at 2 East 169 Street, according to the department.
City school records list 14 West 170 Street as the address of Family Life Academy Charter School. That puts the incident on a busy stretch near the 170 Street subway stop, where students, commuters and neighborhood residents regularly crowd the sidewalks.
