GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A multi-state burglary ring tied to what investigators said is a “South American Theft Group” (SATG) targeted immigrant business owners, including in Michigan, and stole about $1.6 million or more in cash and valuables, according to federal court records and the Kent County Sheriff’s Office (KSCO).
The investigation in Kent County began after a Cascade Township home was burglarized in December 2024 while the homeowners were at work.
