Truck Driver Ticketed for Hitting Bridge in Glenville

A truck driver from Cape Coral, Florida, was ticketed after his tractor-trailer collided with the Glenridge Road bridge in Glenville, New York, on Thursday (February 26). The driver, Nestor Dopico, 56, ignored over-height warning signs and struck the bridge, ripping off the entire top portion of his trailer.

According to the Glenville Police, Dopico was heading to Corporation Park and was following his GPS at the time of the crash. No injuries were reported, but a full Department of Transportation inspection led to the vehicle being put out of service. Dopico received citations for failing to obey a traffic control device and violating a town code related to over-height vehicles.

The incident occurred around 10:30 a.m. on Glenridge Road as Dopico was traveling westbound. The collision left a portion of the trailer stuck to the bridge. Dopico is scheduled to appear in Glenville Town Court on March 19 at 5 p.m…
