KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Friends and family remembered the life of longtime Tennessee sports journalist Wes Rucker at his funeral service Wednesday.
Rucker was 43 years old when he died in a five-car collision on Interstate 40. Rucker reported on University of Tennessee athletics since 2000, working for several publications like the Chattanooga Times Free Press, ESPN Radio Knoxville, and 247Sports, before joining WBIR last year.
Those who worked with him say he left a lasting impression on his community.
