Days after historic blizzard, some side streets still snowed in

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WJAR) — Days after the blizzard, some residents across the area were still dealing with side streets that remained snowed in, even as major highways had been cleared.

In Fall River, homes on a hill along Claflin Street were still buried, and the National Guard arrived in the city to help.

“These are unpredicted times as we’ve seen here in Fall River,” Mayor Paul Coogan said. “A lot of people don’t know what to do with this snow. The National Guard just showed up today to help.”…
