EDGEFIELD, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) – The attorney for a woman allegedly struck by the former Edgefield County tax assessor is fighting to make sure the criminal case goes through the justice system.
Christie Culbreath says she was assaulted by Benjamin “Gerry” Coleman, who was then tax assessor, when she visited his office Nov. 26 to inquire about tax information on a house she purchased.
Coleman resigned soon after the allegations came to light…
