The Kips Bay Decorator Show House Palm Beach returns with its signature bold aesthetic. For the first time ever, designers transformed not one but two properties: the waterfront Intracoastal House and the charming Palm Cottage across the street. From color-drenched rooms to imaginative, immersive spaces, take a peek at some of the impactful interiors on display.

Pretty In Pink
LUXE NEXT honoree Lucy O’Brien of Tartan & Toile took inspiration from iconic 20th-century businesswoman and socialite Marjorie Merriweather Post when designing a selection of spaces at this year’s Kips Bay Decorator Show House. The delightfully pink powder room skillfully reflects the icon’s propensity for vintage glamour. Its geometric floor is custom Artistic Tile. Moroccan patterns and embellishments are found in the form of the shower curtain’s textured tassels. Also from Artistic Tile, the floating sink and shower surround are a cherry-blossom marble that adds an elegant note to the whimsical space. French gold finishes on Kohler fixtures feature on the vintage mirror and seashell-shaped sconce. A delicate Gracie wallpaper completes the room.
Surrealist + Sculptural
Modern luxury meets surrealist elements in this sunroom by BAMO. An articulated slatted ceiling built by Leeds Custom Design functions as living artwork, with the shadows it casts subtly altering the room’s vibe throughout the day. The walls are draped in Belgian linen featuring a soft wave pattern in silver metallic thread from Harlequin. The immersive retreat boasts a visual language entirely its own.
Call It Cosmopolitan
Deborah Wecselman’s wanderlust instincts are evident in her design for this Kips Bay Palm Beach great room. A showstopping iridescent blown-glass ceiling installation by Jamie Harris for Todd Merrill Studio draws the eye up, where Calico’s Atmosphere dusk wallpaper gives the ceiling an imaginative allure. Lower down, a one-of-a-kind hand-polished marble-and-bronze Alex Turco Coffee Table from Artemest rests atop a custom area rug by Stark Carpet. The art-forward space expertly exudes the global sensibility synonymous with Wecselman’s design aesthetic.
A Bespoke Breakfast Room
Show house or boutique hotel? This elegant breakfast room recalls both. In this luminous jewel box, Amy Young Designs mixed sumptuous textures and blush-colored hues to create a space that’s seriously swanky. A hand-painted white gold-leaf mural by Aqualille shimmers in the back. Atop it, a hand-crafted rose-gold butterfly installation by Casa Giovanni adds a playful note. Larose Guyon’s Abysse 03 chandelier dangles above the space like fine jewelry. Together, it all makes for one dazzling gathering space.

Stay Golden
A triangular island wrapped in slabs of Dekton by Cosentino takes center stage in this Kips Bay kitchen by Yarn Design Associates. Golden hues are found throughout. See: the induction, the barstools, the Boyd Lighting fixture, the silk-stitched wallcovering from Philip Jefferies and more. Storia’s European Oak flooring offers a grounding presence. An abstract colorful artwork from Sponder Gallery adds an eclectic touch to the dining area.
Regal Retreat
Brunschwig & Fils’s Nouvelle wallcovering emanates coastal elegance in this room by Lisa Erdmann Interiors. The space is an ode to the island of Mustique and one of its most famous visitors, Princess Margaret. A chandelier by Christa’s Seashells plays up other flora and fauna elements found throughout. English antiques recall the room’s royal muse. The carpet is by Stark.
