The Grammy Award-winning English musician, who’s in San Francisco for a sold-out, 20-date residency at the newly reopened Castro Theatre, is a genuine superstar with 14 million (opens in new tab) Instagram followers. But it’s Smith’s relatively microscopic alt account (opens in new tab) — with a mere 6,000 devotees as of Thursday afternoon — that’s lighting up the city’s food scene.
