Man accused of 2022 deadly shooting in Baton Rouge pleads guilty

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A man who was accused of a deadly shooting at a 2022 party pleaded guilty in February.

According to court records, Scott Strickland, 19, reversed his decision and entered a guilty plea. He was initially facing six counts of attempted second-degree murder and one count of second-degree murder. His second-degree murder charge was amended to accessory after the fact to second degree-murder, while the six attempted murder charges were dropped.

Strickland was sentenced to five years, with credit for time served…
