Did you know… what this building’s original use was? This is the first Webster School Building, built in 1890 and closed in 1914 when the new Webster school opened. This building was also called North School or 3rd Ward school. This building is located on the corner of 5th and North Streets as an apartment building today. I attended the second Webster school while growing up. Great memories of that and visiting Mrs. Wilson’s Grocery after class.
