Appleton woman pepper-sprays crowd at “car meet,” facing possible charges

APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in Appleton say a woman could be facing potential charges after pepper-spraying multiple people at a “car meet.”

According to the Appleton Police Department, officers recently responded to a park for reports of a woman pepper-spraying multiple people before leaving from the event.

It was learned that a “car meet” was arranged, and during the event, the woman became upset after she claimed people began pushing on the porta-potty she was inside. She told police that she exited the porta-potty, believed she knew who was pushing on it, and used the pepper spray on multiple people.

She then left the event and was found by the police at a gas station. Officers say charges of disorderly conduct and intentionally using an oleoresin device have been referred to the district attorney’s office…
