HOUSTON — Drivers in east Houston encountered an unusual traffic delay late overnight when a group of cows escaped from a nearby property and made their way onto a main roadway.
The incident happened around 11:30 p.m. Thursday near Oates Road and Highway 90, where 15 cows were seen walking along the road. Officers with the Houston Police Department and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office responded, using lights and sirens to help guide the animals and keep drivers safe.
