Hill Named New Director of Security for Lincoln Public Schools

LINCOLN–(KFOR/News Release Feb. 25)–A 26-year veteran of the Lincoln Police Department has been named the new director of security for Lincoln Public Schools.

In a news release to KFOR News early Wednesday afternoon, LPS said they have named Nate Hill to succeed Joe Wright, who will retire in June. Hill currently serves as the threat assessment investigator for LPD, a position he’s held since June 2018. He’s led comprehensive threat assessments for high-risk people and situations that includes planning to prevent targeted violence. Hill helps coordinate efforts between schools, administrators, mental health professionals, law enforcement and community members, while ensuring a supportive educational environment.
