St. Louis, Missouri-Illinois Border – Drivers along I-70, I-64 and I-55 could encounter snow-covered lanes by 6 a.m. Sunday as a developing winter system pushes toward the Mississippi River, bringing a 30 to 50 percent chance of at least 2 inches of accumulation before 6 a.m. Monday.
According to the National Weather Service, the highest probabilities for 2 inches or more currently stretch from central and eastern Missouri into west-central and southern Illinois. The corridor includes St. Louis, Columbia, Jefferson City and extends east toward Belleville, Effingham and Centralia.
