Springfield to sell downtown property originally planned for public plaza

The Springfield Economic Development Agency plans to sell a two-story cinder block building on Main Street to a private company.

Springfield Economic Development Manager Allie Camp told the agency’s board Feb. 23 that it received an offer to purchase 138 Main St. “to be used as an architecture studio.” The property is on the north side of Main Street between Mill Street and Pioneer Parkway West.

A proposed purchase and sale agreement names COR 10 LLC as the buyer. The company’s CEO, Oscar Moya, signed the agreement Jan. 12. Moya told Lookout Eugene-Springfield by phone he could not release more details…
