On Wednesday, Feb. 25, CU Hawaii, a popular Korean convenience store, debuted a new location in Kahala Korner, near Oliver Tree Cafe and Kapa Hale.
In November 2025, CU Hawaii opened its first U.S. location in downtown Honolulu. The store’s opening marked a milestone for the brand, but it was only just the beginning.
The store’s purpose was clear for Robert Kurisu, CEO of CU Hawaii LLC, since day one: “The store will offer fresh grab-and-go food, customizable beverages, a wide range of popular instant ramen, and many other unique Korean and local products.”…
