Ah! Red-tailed hawk strikes on the University of Michigan campus in Ann Arbor

ANN ARBOR, MI — It was a typical Thursday afternoon before spring break for students at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

The sun was out, students had on jackets in the near-28-degree weather, and a red-tailed hawk grasped an animal carcass on a tree Feb. 26 between Shapiro Library and West Hall.
