The Walker County Board of Commissioners is scheduled to hold its regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. on March 5 at the Walker County Courthouse Annex III, 201 South Main Street in LaFayette.
Reports will include the chairwoman’s update and a financial report from CFO Christian Roach, along with committee and department reports and any scheduled presentations.
Several planning and zoning matters are set for public hearing. Requests include:
- William and Christy White seeking a partial rezone from commercial to residential/agricultural on property along South Highway 27.
- Cora Sue Burse requesting a rezone from agricultural to residential/agricultural on South Dicks Creek Road in LaFayette.
- Joel Nix seeking a partial rezone from agricultural to residential/agricultural on West Rogers Road in LaFayette.
- Jay Brooks requesting a variance to divide less than five acres in an agricultural zone on West Highway 136 in Rising Fawn.
