Rain exits as skies clear with a beautiful weekend ahead

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Good Friday morning! We are starting the day on a soggy note, but the steady showers and thunderstorms that moved through the area have now pushed off to the east. The good news is that they brought some much-needed and beneficial rainfall with them.

As we move through the rest of the morning, you will notice clouds gradually beginning to break apart. It will take some time for everything to fully clear, and conditions may remain a bit damp early on, but improvements are definitely on the way. By midday, temperatures will climb into the lower to middle 60s, and we are expecting afternoon highs to reach close to 70 degrees.

Tonight, skies will continue to clear out. Cloud cover will thin and become partly cloudy overnight, allowing temperatures to fall comfortably into the lower 50s…
