A bumpy ride to a meaningful warmup ahead for WNY

It will be a bit of a rollercoaster ride to get there, but a meaningful warmup is in view for the Western New York forecast with spring-like temperatures and a much milder trend, National Weather Service forecasters say.

Temperatures Friday will at least rise above the freezing mark to the mid 40’s across the Buffalo-Niagara region, with dry conditions.

The weekend weather word will be ‘changeable’, with windy conditions developing overnight into Saturday. “Gusts of 35 to 40 mph, mainly after midnight tonight, through the pre-dawn hours of Saturday,” National Weather Service meteorologist Jon Hitchcock tells WBEN.
