The death of an incarcerated man at California State Prison, Sacramento, is being investigated as a homicide, with both the victim and his cellmate initially taken into state custody from Los Angeles County, according to correctional officials.
According to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, staff personnel discovered jailed person John Cisneros, 49, unresponsive inside his cell at 9:15 p.m. on February 23.
