Two people were hospitalized Feb. 25 after two vehicles collided in a construction zone on eastbound Interstate 264 near the Westport Road off-ramp around 2 p.m., according to Louisville Metro Police Department spokesperson Aaron Ellis.
Emergency crews transported the two adults to a Louisville hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Ellis said. The crash caused at least one vehicle to strike a barrier wall. Officers from the Eighth Division are continuing to investigate what led to the collision.
All eastbound lanes of I-264 near Westport and Brownsboro roads were temporarily shut down. Traffic started moving again around 3:08 p.m., a MetroSafe supervisor told The Courier Journal.
