The Rocky Mount Police Department has a cuddly new addition to its crew.
Introducing Maggie, the department’s new official Station Dog. Maggie is a Goldendoodle who’s about four months old that was donated to the station through her trainer, Erik Gray. Gray, who is director of training with Bootlegger K-9, is a 13-year combat veteran of the US Army who has trained police dogs and is also training Maggie.
Maggie’s not going to be a traditional K-9 in the police department responsible for doing police work. Instead, she will serve a different purpose.
