Police frustrated after domestic violence suspect released twice in same month

Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) — Captain Greg Bello of the Rochester Police Department is frustrated with violent offenders being released back into the community. That includes a domestic violence suspect who was charged earlier this month after violating an order of protection and hurt an officer while resisting arrest, police said.

“Something has to change,” Bello said. “Something has to happen that we’re protecting victims.”
