Months after four Marin County teenagers were killed in a crash along a narrow road in Woodacre, the father of one of the victims is suing the county and the teenage driver who survived.
The complaint, filed in December in Marin County Superior Court and first reported by the Marin Independent, accuses the county, which owns and operates San Geronimo Valley Drive, of creating a “dangerous condition” by failing to install safeguards along the tree-lined and winding road, making it inherently hazardous for drivers.
Attorneys for Robert Katz, father of 15-year-old victim Sienna Katz, also allege that the driver, who was 16 at the time of the crash, was speeding and failed to control her vehicle or take “reasonable evasive or corrective action to avoid leaving the roadway.” The filing accuses both the driver and the county of negligence and wrongful death…
