The 2028 Los Angeles Olympics will be the first in 80 years with no newly built permanent venues, instead relying on the region’s existing stadiums and other sites across Southern California, including in San Diego.
More than 40 venues will host 36 sports for LA 2028 in historic landmarks, like the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in Explosion Park and Pasadena’s scenic Rose Bowl, and relative newcomers to Los Angeles’ sport scene, such as BMO Stadium, SoFi Stadium and Intuit Dome.
The locations are assigned to two dozen zones across the U.S., some of which include multiple venues.
