An investigation is underway after a shooting involving a deputy near Galt on Friday left a suspect dead.
The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that a deputy-involved shooting occurred west of Galt, along New Hope Road. The scene is closer to the community of Thornton off of Interstate 5.
