The body of Richard “Dickie” Phelps, 63, a missing Daufuskie Island man, was located Feb. 24, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office said. Phelps had been reported missing Feb. 20 by his family.
The body of a Daufuskie Island man who had been reported missing since Feb. 20 was discovered by officials in the water during a search of the area Feb. 24, according to Beaufort County Coroner’s Office Deputy Coroner Shane Bowers.
