A 16-year-old girl is facing charges of mass violence, accused by police of threatening Thomas S. Wootton High School in Rockville, Maryland.
The post in question was made Tuesday on Instagram and noticed by a Wootton student, whose father brought it to the police’s attention, the Montgomery County Police Department said Thursday.
The police identified the girl, a Gaithersburg resident, behind the account that made the purported threatening post and interviewed her along with her parents. Montgomery County police said the girl “admitted to making the threats” but that there was not an ongoing threat to the community…
