TOLEDO, Ohio — A pediatric nurse practitioner is urging families to focus on simple prevention measures as seasonal viruses continue circulating through schools and the community.
Jesse Mason-Brown, a certified pediatric nurse practitioner, said the usual winter illnesses are making the rounds, including influenza, COVID-19, RSV and norovirus.
“We’re seeing the typical culprits for this time of year,” Mason-Brown said. “Flu A and B, COVID is still around, RSV in the little ones, and we recently had a pretty big string of norovirus go through some schools.”…
