New WPD officers ready for the beat

The Wilmington Police Department (WPD) graduated its 105th academy class at ceremonies Thursday night, February 26, 2026, at P.S. duPont Middle School.

The 16 new police officers bring the department’s staffing to 290 out of an authorized strength of 305.
