Man pleads guilty to killing east Charlotte woman, stealing her car in 2022 random murder

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — The defendant in a 2022 east Charlotte car robbery and murder was convicted Friday morningin the killing of Ahylea Willard.

Mecklenburg County court records show Tyquawon Parker, 30, pleaded guilty to three charges: second-degree murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and possession of a firearm by a felon.

According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police, the crimes happened the morning of Oct. 23, 2022, at an apartment complex off Idlewild Road North.
