CANYON, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — West Texas A&M University officials reported on Thursday that campus police received a report of stalking incidents and domestic violence occurring on-campus in an administrative building.
According to WT officials, the incidents were reported to have occurred during February.
WT said the report is part of the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, requiring, by federal law, that colleges and universities disclose information about crime on and around their campuses.

University police also provided information regarding the signs of an abusive relationship or stalking, including:
- Assaultive abuse may be physical, emotional, and/or verbal.
- Looks at you or acts in ways that scare you.
- Makes unwanted phone calls, texts, or social media posts.
Officials also provided information on how to help those who may witness an abusive relationship or stalking:
- Bystanders play a critical role in the prevention of sexual and relationship violence. Make the choice to intervene, speak up, or do something about it.
- Believe someone who discloses sexual assault, abusive behavior, or experience with stalking.
- Watch out for friends and fellow students or employees who look like they could be in trouble or need help. Ask if they are ok.
