Arkansas State Police responds after trooper hits car carrying child having medical emergency

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Arkansas State Police has released a statement about a traffic stop incident that involved a child dealing with a medical emergency.

On Friday, Feb. 20, ASP officials said a trooper intentionally hit a vehicle after it failed to pull over for an attempted traffic stop on Interstate 630 in downtown Little Rock.

Special agents said the trooper was unaware that the driver was driving to a nearby hospital while a child in the vehicle was having a medical emergency.
