SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A person was shot and killed Friday night in Springfield, and a suspect is in custody, police said.
Officers responded to a report of shots fired near South and Walnut around 8 p.m. and found one victim with life-threatening injuries, according to the Springfield Police Department. He was taken to a hospital. Police later told Ozarks First the person died.
