Two Iowa authors will be coming to Adel to discuss their recent books next week.
Programming Specialist Lily Schwarz says the Adel Public Library will host the first author at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 3. She invites community members to join local personality and author Van Harden as he discusses his life growing up in Adel, his broadcasting career and his books, including his latest, “Jesus: The Prequel.”
Schwarz adds that the library will then host Beth Hoffman at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 7. She encourages community members to join Hoffman as she talks about her book, Bet the Farm: The Dollars and Sense of Growing Food in America.” Schwarz details that the book tells the story of how Hoffman and her husband decided to leave San Francisco and move to his 530-acre family ranch in Iowa…
