A brush fire in Douglas County was controlled Friday morning before damaging any structures, South Metro Fire Rescue said.
The fire, the fourth new blaze of the week in the Denver area, grew to about 8 acres in the 7800 block of Merryvale Trail, southeast of Parker, before crews were able to control it, South Metro said on social media.
