ROCKVILLE, Md. — A 16-year-old girl in Rockville has been charged with “threats of mass violence” after apparently admitting to Montgomery County police that she posted a threat against Wootton High School on Instagram.
The threat was made on Tuesday, police said the girl’s father called the police after seeing an Instagram post with a “direct threat” to her high school in Rockville, which has already been reeling from a shooting inside the school earlier this month.
The teen girl, along with her parents, was interviewed by a detective with the Montgomery County Department of Police threat assessment and behavioral solutions team and a police officer. MCPD said she admitted to making the threats…
