Fitz Books Serving Up Liege Waffles Starting Saturday

Since opening in its new location last year, in the former Flexlume building at 1426 Main Street, Fitz Books has been busy building itself back up. It’s next, and most delicious advancement, will be the reintroduction of its beloved Liege waffle, which is a variant of the Belgian waffle. Not since the closing of its downtown location has Fitz served up these popular waffles that have become a celebrated addition to the mix of Fitz offerings.

Starting on noon on Saturday, February 28, the Liege waffles – a waffle that has a lighter batter, larger squares, and deeper pockets than its American counterpart – will be prepared, along with coffee, espresso, tea, and other drinks.

The section of Main Street, where Fitz opened its doors, is prime for a coffee shop experience of this nature. We find these types of bundled book-café amenities from the Elmwood Village to South Buffalo. The latest café element to be launched at Fitz is just one of the many interesting dynamics that owner Aaron Bartley is rolling out in 2026. So let’s go support this latest effort, that will be oh-so rewarding for the mind, the soul, and the tastebuds!…
