Grocery store chain Kroger continues to close 60 locations across the country, according to reports.
The Cincinnati, Ohio-based grocery store chain confirmed to the El Adelantado newspaper in Texas that two stores in the Houston area are scheduled for April 10 closures, following the recent shutterings of three other locations in the area, The Independent reported.
Reporting from one of the stores, Fox 26 Houston said the company provided a statement saying the closure “is part of a larger company-wide decision to run more efficiently and ensure the long-term health of our business’ and that employees would be given the opportunity to switch to another store.
