Covington shooting suspect faces new charges; victim arrested for shooting child witness

CINCINNATI (WXIX) — A man accused of firing shots into homes in Covington in December is now facing additional charges, and a victim in that same case has since been arrested for shooting a child who witnessed the incident, according to Kenton County Commonwealth’s Attorney Rob Sanders

Germontray Drake, 19, faces two counts of attempted murder and nine counts of wanton endangerment, Sanders said. Drake faces between 10 and 65 years in prison, Sanders said.

Covington police responded to reports of homes being shot into in the 4400 block of Decoursey Avenue starting at 10:13 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 16, and again at 2:08 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 17, according to Kenton County dispatchers.
