GREENSBORO, N.C. — A 29-year-old man was killed Thursday in a single-vehicle crash on Robbins Road, according to the Winston-Salem Police Department.
Police said officers were called around 12:26 p.m. to the 300 block of Robbins Road, where they found a 2006 BMW that had crashed off the roadway. The driver, identified as Travis Blair Allen, was the only occupant and was pronounced dead at the scene despite life-saving efforts.
Preliminary findings indicate the vehicle was traveling south toward High Point Road when it lost control while entering a curve, left the roadway and struck two trees. Excessive speed is believed to be a contributing factor, police said…
