CalOptima investigation into imprisoned board member finds no fraud

An investigation into former CalOptima Health board member and chair Andrew Do found no fraud during his tenure, the insurer said in a Feb. 18 news release.

In 2025, Mr. Do — previously an Orange County supervisor — was sentenced to five years in prison for a bribery scheme implicating over $10 million in COVID funds.

Ankura Consulting Group, retained by the insurer board’s counsel, did not identify any misuse of CalOptima funds in its review of expenditures from January 2011 to December 2024…
