MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A woman was detained by police early Friday in connection to the shooting of a Memphis Police officer, but MPD says she was later released without charges.
WREG captured video of officers surrounding a car in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant at Third Street and Horn Lake Road after midnight.
MPD has not confirmed whether the woman is an acquaintance of suspect Danell Maxwell, or whether she may have dropped Maxwell off in West Memphis, where a search for the suspect is ongoing.
