An Ocklawaha man was arrested for driving under the influence when a deputy saw him weaving over the fog line on the highway.
A deputy noticed 26-year-old Jacob Fensler driving a white Dodge Ram in front of him on U.S. Hwy. 441 around 1:25 a.m. Thursday, according to an arrest report from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
He watched as the vehicle wove to the right several times, crossing over the solid fog line. It traveled between 47 and 67 mph, and as the vehicle entered Belleview, the deputy paced it at 65 mph in a 45-mph zone. Due to this, he conducted a traffic stop at 10320 SE U.S. Hwy. 441, the report said.
When speaking to Fensler, the deputy could smell the strong odor of alcohol on his breath. He also had bloodshot watery eyes and slurred, mumbled speech. Fensler claimed to have drunk just two beers and agreed to participate in field sobriety exercises, the report said…
