‘He didn’t deserve it’: Family pleads for justice in fatal North County crash

SAN MARCOS, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — Sheriff’s detectives are continuing to investigate a fatal hit-and-run that killed a 62-year-old North County man on Feb. 21, as his family urges witnesses to come forward.

Carey Faust was struck and killed around 8:30 p.m. on North Pacific Street near Prime Storage in San Marcos, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office.

Family members have since placed a cross at the site where Faust was killed and say they visit regularly to honor his memory…
