SAN DIEGO — Miguel Ozuna dreamed of being a police officer like his uncle. But before his uncle could see him grow up, Ozuna’s uncle was killed in the line of duty.
“That gave me the big push to want to become a police officer,” Ozuna said. “I didn’t want that to happen to anybody else — civilians or police officers — because it really hurt my family that day.”
