San Jose T&T Dreams Put on Ice as Power Snafu Stalls Opening

San Jose shoppers who had been counting down the days to the Bay Area’s first T&T Supermarket just got hit with another delay. The Canadian chain now says its long awaited Westgate Center location will not open until the spring of 2026, stretching out the wait for fans of its popular prepared foods and bakery items.

CEO Blames Power and Construction Snags

T&T CEO Tina Lee told followers in a short video that crews have run into construction and electrical problems that slowed the project, and that the company is not willing to debut the store without stable, permanent power, according to KRON4.
