After a Friday hot enough to break records, the weekend is shaping up to only cool down slightly, NBC 7 Meteorologist Greg Bledsoe said.
Downtown San Diego dwellers endured a sweltering 85 degrees Friday morning before a sea breeze came and cooled the city a little, Bledsoe added. That heat beat a record for downtown as the single warmest February day in more than four years.
Those in Escondido, Lake Cuyamaca and Ramona likely got a tan as those cities set new highs for the warmest February day on record, the National Weather Service said.
